Though I have made some friends here in New York, they live in different parts of Brooklyn - in some cases up to 45 minutes away.
That's the one thing I wish I had here: a friend who lives within walking distance.
In this case, I really want to go out for bahn mi and then to Barnes and Noble to buy a book for the flight back to Madison tomorrow. I guess I'll wait for my roommate to get home and cajole him into coming with me.
Bahn mi...you aren't missing out on anything. Unless you enjoy questionable meats (in a traditional bahn mi, the "composite" ham incorporates fat and the skin of the pig) and pate. I had to review one of these for 77 Square last year, so consider me the bahn mi expert.
ReplyDeleteYeah, one of the things I wouldn't like about living in a city too big is that it'd be likely to make friends that don't live within walking or biking distance. This will likely happen next year unfortunately.
